Kai-Shek Airport has served Taiwan well in its lifetime. Opened in 1979, CKS
replaced the old Chung Shan Airport in the center of Taipei as the
international portal for Taiwan. It is located 40 km (25 miles) southwest of
Taipei. Being an ultra modern Airport, the Taipei Chiang Kai-Shek
International Airport features all services that are expected of a top-class
international Airport. These include Banks, Restaurants, Shopping, and
Business Facilities. A large number of passenger and cargo airlines operate
to and from the airport. The year 2003 records show that more than 15
million passengers passed through the Airport during the year.

Passport is needed for verification. Transport will be waiting at the

LAX). The baggage check-in will normally be at the island opposite the MH
office. For the technical crew after security check, go to CAL operations
on the ground floor at bay A9 (a security code is needed). After briefing
either request for a shuttle or take the elevator to the arrival level for
the parking bay. |

Getting around
One of the most
convenient way of travel around Taipei is by Metro
with the nearest
station being Shandao Temple and, to the left of the hotel
about 10 mins. walk is the Taipei Main station. For a short single
journey the fare is
NT$ 20.

Halal Dining

There are quite a
number of halal eateries within walking distance from the hotel. Closest
being on the first floor of the Taipei Main Railway Station, serviced mainly
by Indonesian Chinese.
